Love it! Great Wisdom

One great source of re-minderz in my life is quotes, sayings and stories I run across in my travels.  I've decided (at least for now) to start a series here on my blog especially for those awesome things.  I am calling it the "Love It" series.  Here is the first....

Cherokee Wisdom

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.  He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, shame, superiority, ego.

The other is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, truth, serenity, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked this grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
